Star Wars Arch-Nemeses

Just in case it was unclear who everyone’s nemesis is in Star Wars. Offering a Wookie a comb is quite an insult.

This fun oil painting comes from JeffAubuchonArt and shows what life is like in the Imperial kitchens, where they have to serve up grub everyday to the Imperial fleet. It definitely looks like a thankless job, but they do their duty for the Empire.

Joe Stone has published a series of Darth Vader puns, to follow-up his punny Drewbacca illustrations. Pun intended.

Rick and Morty is just the best animated show ever. Words can not describe how much I love this show. My fellow Rick and Morty fans are going to love this. Upisnotjump has created an awesome Fallout 4 movie that recreates the best scenes from the show. It will have you laughing out loud. I love how they nailed the whole “2 Brothers” sketch!

Pokemon is all about catching them all. Why do you think they always create more Pokemon? New breeds are being discovered all the time. Pokemon is a big business after all. Well, UK-based cartoonist Dan Martin has found 30 more. And they are a bit… Unusual. See for yourself. These are not your typical Pokemon.

I love these mashups by very talented artist Chris Henderson. This is a series of Marvel and DC art inspired by the animated series Archer. Included here are Captain America: Civil War, as well as characters from Daredevil, and Batman v Superman. These are very original. I would love to see this as a real animated series. With all of the craziness of Archer and all of the awesomeness of Marvel, it would be a great comedy hit. Too bad this would never happen.

Who knew that Jessica Rabbit was so versatile? Here she is in an interesting set of character art by Janine van Moosel. Here Jessica Rabbit is cosplaying all kinds of pop culture characters. She does Wonder Woman, Harley Quinn, Rogue, Lara Croft, Power Girl, Tinkerbell, The Bride of Frankenstein, and more. I have to say, she looks fabulous no matter who she is dressed as. Roger is one lucky rabbit!

The latest Star Trek parody book is coming our way in July from Insight Editions. It’s called the Redshirt’s Little Book of Doom and it looks cute and funny. It is written by Robb Pearlman and illustrated by Anna-Maria Jung. Within it’s pages you will find lovely full page artwork chronicling the troubled life of a Star Trek red shirt, as he has his share of alien encounters, time with crew-mates, and other everyday problems. You have to love that cover art!
You can see a bunch of preview images below. This is one hilarious book. These redshirts sure do manage to get themselves in trouble, even on the ship. It is available for pre-order now and comes out in July.

Ever since Jim Henson went and created the special edition trilogy, nerds the world over have been debating over who shot first. Kermit or Greedo? Well, I’m here to tell you that Kermit shot first. He always shot first.
This Star Wars art work by Dan Luvisi is sure to make you smile. I can just imagine Greedo pulling his gun and saying, “Going somewhere Kermit?”

Artist Joshua Budich created this series of Spaceballs poster art. It parodies Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Naturally it makes me want another Spaceballs movie, like now. Spaceballs: The Schwartz Awakens would be the perfect title for it as well. These posters are pretty perfect. I love the colors and the scenes that Joshua chose to highlight. These images really hit you.
I hope Mel Brooks does make a new Spaceballs movie. He did recently say that he was working on a sequel, but apparently the working title is Spaceballs: The Search For More Money. Maybe he will rethink that now.
