Fun Paint Splatter Villain Art

Fun Paint Splatter Villain Art
This Paint Splatter Villain art from Arian Noveir somehow makes these comic book villains even more menacing, as if they are half-formed and coming out of the shadows. The Joker is particularly menacing.

Featured here are Black Cat, Poison Ivy, Red Skull, Harley Quinn, Spawn, Venom, 2 Jokers and Magneto. I really love how ethereal these all feel. Like ghosts that come calling in the night.

Geeky Cross Stitch Vehicle Patterns

Geeky Cross Stitch Vehicle Patterns
If you practice the art of cross stitching, you’ll want to check out some of the patterns that StitchBucket has in their Etsy shop. You can choose from all kinds of geek cars and vehicles. Like the Ghostbuster’s Ecto-1, the Batmobile, X-Wing Fighters and more. I don’t know anything about cross stitching, but if I did, I would totally download these patterns and create some cool stitchery.

Star Wars Imperial Fighter Concept

Star Wars Imperial Fighter Concept
You might remember Encho Enchev from that sweet Batmobile concept we featured recently. Well, he is full of great ideas and here’s another. Check out this beautifully crafted concept for a Star Wars Imperial fighter. It’s like somebody smashed a snowspeeder and a TIE Fighter together in the loveliest way possible.

The challenge here was to effectively combine shapes and elements to create believable model that can be part of the imperial air force.

This makes me wish that he had designed the ships from the prequels. I wasn’t a big fan of the ships in those films. Something like this would have been much more believable.

Geeky Compact Pocket Mirrors
You ladies now have a geeky alternative to your compact makeup mirrors. How would you like to put your makeup on with a mirror that features R2-D2 or a Dalek? Maybe a Death Star? These pocket mirrors from comradecards are perfect. They have several designs and all are fun. They come with a small bag to keep it safe while it is stashed in your purse.

Transformers: The Ultimate Pop-Up Universe

Transformers The Ultimate Pop-Up Universe
Here is what you didn’t even know you were missing. A Transformers book where the robots actually transform. Matthew Reinhart and Emiliano Santalucia have created one excellent book here. It celebrates the 30th anniversary of the Transformers toy line. It features pop-up paper versions of Autobots and Decepticons. Many of them completely transform. How cool is that?

Transformers: The Ultimate Pop-Up Universe is the book we all wish we had as kids, but it is here now to awaken the child inside. You can check out a video review below.

Gotham Corral – Batman Villains In The Old West

Gotham Corral - Batman Villains In The Old West
This series called Gotham Corral is from artist doclumbago who imagines Batman’s many villains as mustache-twirling old west baddies. I have never considered these characters in this kind of setting, but now that I see it, I’d like to see more. I can picture Batman and Bane facing each other at the Okay Corral at high noon, ready to draw their irons. I hope he creates more of these characters.
