Robert Xavier Burden is an amazing painter who combines toy collecting and art. The paintings he creates are massive and highly detailed Renaissance-style oil paintings. They will blow you away. The toys featured in his work are treated with reverence as if they are holy things. And they are. Nostalgia is spirituality in these works. A temple. They could easily decorate any holy place.
