The Orville is an amazing Star trek show even if it doesn’t have the official label on it. You can see the love he has for Trek in every episode and in every frame. So I guess we shouldn’t be surprised to see this clip of a young Seth MacFarlane in a Star Trek fan film. He’s clearly having a ball. Who knew that this would all lead to his own Trek TV show?

The fight between Obi-Wan Kenobi and Darth Vader at the end of the original Star Wars movie is already a classic, but now it has more action thanks to some talented filmmakers. In this short, they have upped the action and it really works. Right now it is just a short clip, but the whole scene will be released next year. I personally love the original, but it is fun to see it get more intense. I’m really curious to see how this whole fight will play out in their re-imagined version.

He takes modern DC Comics movie posters and shows what they would look like with the actors who used to play the parts. Some of these are pretty striking and I especially like the Batman vs. Superman poster. To me, this one shows just how strong these versions of Batman and Superman were and says something about the current trend to make DC movies too gritty and dark. These are all great.

Impressive. Most impressive. This Gingerbread Imperial Star Destroyer is made from nothing but delicious gingerbread. It was created by the folks over at Star Wars Bakery and is currently on display at the EA Dice office in Stockholm, Sweden. Look at that incredibly detailed icing job. It’s a pretty awesome build. I wonder if it has little gingerbread Imperials inside. This could feed a lot of hungry Star Wars fans.

Vimeo user OutsideHollywood worked on this with his brother after watching a bit of the Death Star assembly in Rogue One left them wanting more. They did a fantastic job. It would have been cool to see a timelapse like this in one of the Star Wars movies, but that’s okay. The visuals here are pretty stunning especially with the music.
