If you are looking for a fun project, why not make your own Sonic Screwdrivers based on the 11th Doctor’s version? Check out the one that Barbara Ribeiro made with scrapbooking paper. I’d say she got all of the details spot on. She definitely deserves some Jammie Dodgers as a reward.

If you are planning a Fifth Doctor cosplay, this is the only outfit you will ever need. It comes from Frockasaurus. You might remember their amazing Sixth Doctor coat that we featured awhile back. Now they are doing the Fifth Doctor proud with this outfit.
I can’t imagine a more perfect female version of this costume. They never fail to impress. This one has the jacket, corset bodice, shirt and skirt. You are going to look amazing in this. You’ll have to supply your own celery stick.
Dean Balangcod shared this project where he created a themed beer label for Beau’s beer. I could definitely get behind a Doctor Who branded beer. These designs are pretty awesome and include a case that looks like the TARDIS with a cutaway so you can see the labels on the beer within.
There are also glasses with the label, but those only show a tractor. The other labels are much cooler and show Zygons, Weeping Angels, a Dalek and a Cyberman. I would love to see some beer with these labels on it.
Behance user Robert Sienicki is a graphic designer and illustrator who was working so hard that he wanted to create something just for fun. So he made a blog and started filling it up with drawings of characters from his favorite movies. He found that drawing Doctor Who characters was the most fun so when he had free time he created these cool versions.
His girlfriend suggested that he make it into a poster to hang in the living room. I have to agree, this makes an awesome poster. It sounds like he plans on adding more characters and I can’t wait to see them. The coolest part of the story? There are only four printed copies in the world. Rob has one, and the remaining three were given to Sue Vertue, Mark Gatiss and Steven Moffat. That’s pretty cool.

Doctor Who’s ninth season had some fantastic images. It showed us alien cities, new aliens, and much more. If you were wondering how the show’s VFX artists brought it all to life, check out this cool video from Milk Visual Effects. It will give you a glimpse into the process of making these scenes. Remember those hands with the eyes on Skaro? The snake man with the face that twisted like a puzzle? The Zygons? It’s all here. They don’t go into great detail on how these shots were done, but you will get a good idea how the scenes were shot, what was added digitally etc.
Doctor Who now has his own coloring book, courtesy of Penguin publishing house. This coloring book is perfect for fans young and old. Anyone who is a kid at heart is going to love this book. The pages feature designs and images of many fan favorites. All of the coolest villains are here and it seems like it has a lot of surprises in store for fans.
The initial pages spell out “Doctor Who,” with one letter on each page with the coloring design inside the letter borders. It looks like they did an awesome job with this one. It makes me want to color in the lines again and I haven’t done that since I was a kid.
We really love art that makes us look at familiar sci-fi icons in a whole new way. Kevin Greene does exactly that, taking famous sci-fi characters and giving them makeovers as caricatures as if painted by some European street artist. All of their features are exaggerated and accentuated. We love it.

This handy infographic comes from Wallpaperdirect. It shows some of the Doctor’s most fearsome villains and the Doctors who faced off against them! It’s pretty awesome. It is updated until season 9, but covers a lot of ground. Obviously a lot of bad guys are left out, but this is just a highlight of some of the best and most dangerous.
