It looks like it is going to be a great season. From what we can see here, Matt Lucas looks like he may be a companion this series as well.

The BBC has just released the first trailer for the 2016 Doctor Who Christmas Special! The episode is titled, “The Return of Doctor Mysterio” and it introduces viewers to a mysterious superhero called The Ghost. This episode looks like a lot of fun. This is the first time we have had a masked superhero in the Doctor Who universe. The Doctor Who Christmas Special will air on BBC One on Christmas Day at 5.45pm.
