The new era of Doctor Who has had many episodes featuring the Cybermen, but these Cybermen were not the original monsters from the classic series. Just parallel world versions. However the original 1960s Cybermen are finally coming back. The BBC has officially announced that the Mondasian Cybermen will appear in episodes 11 and 12 of Peter Capaldi’s final season of Doctor Who. Which likely means one heck of an adventure that will end with his regeneration. It’s about time they came back. They are far creepier than the current “Iron Man” Cybermen in New era Who.

The Cybermen in New Who are okay, but I think their design is a bit boring. I much prefer the old Earthshock Cybermen from Peter Davison’s era. I’m still hoping that one day the modern Cybermen will get a decent makeover. Hopefully something like these designs that I recently came across.
The first design is a bit plain much like modern Cybermen, but I really like the extra black details, as if the human parts beneath are in some kind of wet suit. If you combine that with the darker design below, I think you have a winner. Something that will have kids hiding under their beds when a Cyberman episode comes on. Those eyes!
Buenos Aires, Argentina based artist In Rainhead created this cool Doctor Who pixel art featuring some of our favorite elements from the show. There’s the sonic screwdriver, a cyberman, a Dalek and the TARDIS. These put me in the mood to play an old Doctor Who video game. It’s too bad that my choices are severely limited. We need more Doctor Who video games. These are cute.
Dean Balangcod shared this project where he created a themed beer label for Beau’s beer. I could definitely get behind a Doctor Who branded beer. These designs are pretty awesome and include a case that looks like the TARDIS with a cutaway so you can see the labels on the beer within.
There are also glasses with the label, but those only show a tractor. The other labels are much cooler and show Zygons, Weeping Angels, a Dalek and a Cyberman. I would love to see some beer with these labels on it.
I knew those handles on the sides of their heads would come in handy one day. You can even call this Doctor Who Cyberman Head Mug “Handles” if you want. He won’t mind. He’s too busy holding your favorite beverage to care.
