Lost Original Ghostbusters Concept Art

Lost Original Ghostbusters Concept Art
Did you know that the ending of the original Ghostbusters movie was originally going to be much bigger? The ending we got was pretty cool, but the one they had planned may have been epic. We will never know. You can get a sneak peek at what might have been for yourself. This video focuses on legendary artist Bernie Wrightson. He did a ton of concept art for Ghostbusters, including scenes that would have had the Ghostbusters going through the gates of hell. How amazing would that have been? Wrightson talks about this scene and more in the clip below, which is very fascinating. Fans of the movie will want to check it out.

The USS Jefferies Project

The USS Jefferies Project
What if the first interstellar spacecraft to be built just happens to be commissioned by the US Navy? And what if its design is inspired by a science-fiction TV show from the sixties? What would that look like? Something like this. And it is amazing. This is one of the most beautiful interpretations of a Constitution class I have ever seen. Much better than the silly ships in JJ Abrams’ Star Trek movies. To all of the future designers, directors and artists out there, this is how you do it!

Star Trek Beyond Concept Art

Star Trek Beyond Concept Art
A lot of Star Trek Beyond takes place on an alien planet and this concept art by Victor Martinez gives us a closer look at some designs for the planet, as well as some ships and other things that never made it on screen. It is really interesting work. Martinez did some of these early on with production designer Scott Chambliss and others were done for later reshoots with Production Designer Andrew Murdock.

It looks so grand and fantastic. I always love seeing what filmakers were thinking and seeing how things evolved.

Blade Runner 2 Concept Art

Blade Runner 2 Concept Art
Blade Runner 2 is one of the most highly anticipated sequels right now. We know a little bit about the film, but most of it remains a mystery. It will take place in Los Angeles and the setting is still bleak. We also know that the movie will feature strange weather. Basically, snow, rain, it’s all toxic.

Think about that as you check out this concept art from the film. I don’t know about you, but I can’t wait for this movie.

Suicide Squad Concept Art Shows Very Different Harley Quinn Looks

Suicide Squad Concept Art Shows Very Different Harley Quinn Looks
Check out this concept art from Suicide Squad. This Harley Quinn concept art shows two different takes on Harley and her costume. EW talked with Suicide Squad costume designer Kate Hawley about Harley’s look.

It sounds crazy, but Hawley says that she got the idea for Harley’s costumes by looking at Instagram accounts of Mexican drug cartels and the attire that rock and roll icons like Debbie Harry, Courtney Love, and Patti Smith wore. That’s quite the combination.

These are both great, but I think they choose the right look for the movie.

Star Wars Imperial Fighter Concept

Star Wars Imperial Fighter Concept
You might remember Encho Enchev from that sweet Batmobile concept we featured recently. Well, he is full of great ideas and here’s another. Check out this beautifully crafted concept for a Star Wars Imperial fighter. It’s like somebody smashed a snowspeeder and a TIE Fighter together in the loveliest way possible.

The challenge here was to effectively combine shapes and elements to create believable model that can be part of the imperial air force.

This makes me wish that he had designed the ships from the prequels. I wasn’t a big fan of the ships in those films. Something like this would have been much more believable.
