Since everyone is getting in on the Star Wars: Rogue One action, healthplans.org decided they would as well. They sent us this cool infographic that shows off some of the new characters in the film and gives you some details about them. December 16th is fast approaching and we are all stoked, so check this out while we wait for the movie. Then go back to waiting. I know, it’s tough, but it will arrive. And the Death Star plans will be stolen.
Artist Mustafa Raza created this fun art series called “Mirror War.” It’s really unique and amazing. Each piece shows a DC character facing off with a character from Marvel. The characters mirror each other perfectly. I love the colors and each one is like seeing the beginning of a spectacular battle.
This adorable art comes from Ukraine based artist Tasha Mille. They are children’s style Chibi versions of Star Wars characters. I like how she paired up a small character with a big one. These would make great posters or even greetings cards. They are just so cute. She says that there will only be three, but I hope she makes many more.
Can you imagine if Tim Burton had been in charge of Game of Thrones? It would be a completely different series that’s for sure. We have an idea what the Tim Burton GoT characters might have looked like thanks to Canadian illustrator Xenia Rassolova, who has created this series. Game of Thrones and Star Wars are two very different properties, which is probably why we don’t see very many mashups that involve both. But artist Andrew Dat Tran has created some spectacular pieces that work really well. This series imagines Game of Thrones characters dressed in Star Wars attire. There’s Tyrion as Han, Arya as a Jedi Padawan, the Night King as a Sith Lord, and others. I love the style of this series and the dark tone.
When was the last time you saw 80’s pop culture characters holding adorable animals? It’s probably been awhile. Well, we are here to make it happen. This will be the cutest thing that you see all day long. Boba Fett and Robin are my favorites. Three guesses what animal Robin is playing with? These come from artist Hillary White Rabbit. Thanks for showing us the softer side of those villains Hillary. They don’t seem so scary now.
IKON is an upcoming solo art show by urban art and graffiti illustrator Nychos of Rabbit Eye Movement at the Jonathan LeVine Gallery in New York City. It will feature some of his new dissection artwork where pop culture characters like Darth Vader, Batman, Stay Puft Marshmallow Man and more get sliced up so we can see what is inside.
It’s not for everyone, but I find it fascinating how he finds various different ways to dissect these fictional characters. It’s weird for sure, but interesting. Check out just a few below and you can find more at his website.

Artist Jonathan Hallett leaves us in stitches with this cool series featuring Lilo and Stitch as several famous pop culture characters. I especially love Stitch looking extra evil as the Joker. Jonathan created these for Comic-Con and they are sold at his Artist’s Alley booth. I’m sure he sold a lot of them, because they are just so playful and awesome. After seeing this series, I vote for more Stitch as everyone!
This art series from Kate Dawe is appropriately titled “Pop Eggs”. It takes pop culture characters and throws an egg into the mix. It’s a little odd, but that’s what we like about it. It’s also playful and fun.
The word puns are in full effect in the titles too, like E.T. The Eggstraterrestrial, Jurassegg Park, The Termeggnator and more.
