I’m pretty blown away by what some people manage to create with cardboard, so when I saw Shreyas Malvankar’s Custom Cardboard Superheroes I was beyond impressed. How he gets so much detail using cardboard, I have no idea. That Gladiator Hulk has several accessories for instance. I hope he creates even more. Verizon is offering Star Wars themed Google Cardboard VR sets for free. There are four models available. You can get them in Stormtrooper, R2-D2, BB-8, and Kylo Ren versions. Each will come with unique content based on Star Wars: The Force Awakens. This will help us bide our time until the movie arrives.
The custom Cardboard VR sets are available in select Verizon locations across the US, and Verizon says that it has 200,000 of them ready to give out. Sadly, they are only for Verizon customers, so if you aren’t a Verizon customer, you won’t be able to get your hands on one.
They can be used with any Android phone or iPhone to access the VR content available in the Google Play Store or in the Apple App Store.

This cardboard Millennium Falcon is a pretty impressive creation. If you have a few hundred cardboard boxes laying around, you might want to build one of your own. Although I doubt it will be as amazingly detailed as Imgur user Thomas Richner‘s creation.
It is a 5ft. long scale model made almost entirely of cardboard, except for a bit of balsa wood along the hull. If that isn’t enough, it even has retractable landing gear and a detachable radar dish. It took Thomas 140 hours of work and as far as I’m concerned it was totally worth it. This thing is amazing. He even took a few shots against a green screen and it actually looks like it belongs in the movies.
