Star Wars Sculptures Made With Louis Vuitton Bags

Star Wars Sculptures Made With Louis Vuitton Bags
Louis Vuitton collectors will be sad to know that their favorite expensive bags had to be cut up so that artist Gabriel Dishaw could create some geeky art masterpieces, but sometimes a sacrifice is needed to make great art. Gabriel deconstructed and cut up several Louis Vuitton bags, so that he could turn them into amazing Star Wars sculptures like Darth Vader’s helmet, an AT-AT, C-3PO and more. The familiar LV patterns actually seem to work great in any Star Wars theme.

Droidopolis

Droidopolis
C-3PO may not be as sexy as Maria, but he totally works in this parody art based on Fritz Lang’s Metropolis poster. Maybe this was a George “Fritz” Lucas production. It is fittingly called Droidopolis.

A Look Inside R2-D2 and C-3PO
Artist Martin Hernandez must be part Jawa, because he does a great job of taking apart R2-D2 and C-3PO, so we can see what makes these droids tick. And while he doesn’t show off a ton of their inner workings, you have to love the style of these pieces. He shows us just enough to entice us and remind us that these fan favorites are machines despite our love for them. I would love to see him tackle other Star Wars droids.

Star Wars African Totem C-3PO

Star Wars African Totem C-3PO
Artist Evgeny Rusolovski created this awesome Star Wars African Totem version of C-3PO. This is certainly one of the most unique takes on the droid that I have seen in a while. I would love to see what the artist could do with other Star Wars characters as totems.

Totem or no totem, never tell me the odds. I bet this is what an Ewok created statue would look like by the time they have made temples and worshiped 3PO for many years.

Star Wars Characters On Vacation Prints

Star Wars Characters on Vacation Prints
If you have ever wondered what the Star wars characters do while on vacation, wonder no more. It’s all right here. These are the work of Kyle’s Gallery and they are certainly whimsical. They sure know how to live it up and relax during their downtime.

I never took Boba for a knitting kind of guy. And it’s nice to see C-3PO stopping to smell the roses and Vader having some tea too. You can buy prints from Kyle’s Etsy Shop.

Star Wars Die-Cast Cars From Tomica

Star Wars Die-Cast Cars
Awhile back Hot Wheels released some Star Wars cars, but they don’t even compare to these new cars from Tomica. They are part Star Wars, part Pixar. They sure do have personality. I personally love the designs.

Choose from Darth Vader, R2-D2, C-3PO, Yoda, and a Stormtrooper. The pre-order price for the set is about $225. Sure, that’s a bit expensive for toy cars, but you don’t see merchandise like this everyday.

Antique Plates Get A Star Wars Makeover

antique star wars plates

Etsy seller BeatUpCreations takes old antique and beat up plates and transforms them into beautiful works of art. Many have a modern theme. In their shop you can find everything from Pee-Wee Herman to Mr. T, to David Bowie on antique plates. My favorites are the Star Wars pieces that they’ve created.

Most of them are classic paintings with a Star Wars twist. They are an amazing mix of old and new. Just the right kind of geeky to hang on your home or office wall. The C-3PO plate just makes me laugh, but I want them all.
