The next series of XXRAY Justice League figures will be released in the 2nd Quarter of 2016 and they look pretty awesome. This wave includes The Flash, Green Lantern, Cyborg and Aquaman. The 1982 DC Comics Style Guide is now online and complete. This is some really stunning artwork. Those were the days. I wish we saw more of this style today. The style guide features many character designs, color guides and model sheets. These were all used for marketing and licensing and they also served as a reference for the artists. You have probably seen some of these images on merchandise. Dick Giordano inked all of the figures in the original guide, while Todd Klein inked all of the logos and many of the backgrounds seen in the guide. I love them all, but this era Batman really looks awesome.

For their March 2015 issues, DC Comics has announced variant covers that will honor iconic films. So expect some of your favorite superhero covers to look different in March. There are 22 covers in all, mimicking famous movie posters. You can check all of them out below.
These covers should help them to sell more issues for sure. Personally, I’d like to see them do this more often. I can already see that March is going to be an expensive month for me, because I intend to collect them all.
Even superheroes need to kick back and relax sometimes. LEGO superheroes prefer to rest on LEGO couches of course. And here is a whole set of both.

Artist and art student Creees Lee loves DC Comics. Also Pokemon. Naturally, he made some super cool mashup illustrations that put them together. These DC Comics characters are all hanging out with their Pokemon equals. I would totally watch a show where the DC Comics characters trained these Pokemon and unleashed them on bad guys.
