Rick and Morty are nothing but a bunch of sellouts. They sold out to Old Spice, and Rick has no shame about it. None at all. But I’m not mad. I’m just happy we have a tiny Rick and Morty fix because we are in for a long wait for the next season. This hilarious Old Spice commercial for their “invisible spray” gives us that fix. You’ll enjoy this ad despite the fact that they sold out.

When computers were new and people could actually afford them, computer companies were getting all kinds of famous faces to hawk their wares. And computer makers had to show us what we could do with computers. This led to some famous people starring in some silly commercials.
Below are two of my favorites. One starring William Shatner, the other series starring Tom Baker and Lala Ward as the Doctor and Romana. The latter has all kinds of vintage charm.

These images are from a series of sketches of a proposed campaign for Volkswagen called Drunk Superheroes by Heredia, Costa Rica based Fabio Obando and San Salvador, El Salvador based Miguel Membreño.
The final versions have the Volkswagen logo on the bottom with “Don’t let your ego drive you. If you drink, don’t drive.” It really drives the point home. No pun intended. Whether you are a superhero or a mere human, do not drink and drive.
Brazilian digital artist Marcel Fukuwara helped make these ads for the government of the state of Ceará in Brazil. The ad’s message is simple: “The Real Power is in You.”
These clever ads encourage people to donate their organs to save lives, thus becoming superheroes themselves. I think it’s brilliant. I just wish there were more heroes represented. Organ donation is one great way in which ordinary humans can make a big difference.
