Loving these kitschy Retro Superhero Illustrations by Diego Riselli. I have always admired the style and colors of this type of art from a much simpler time. They are a lot of fun. Some of our favorites are below, but you can check out his page for more.
Chase Kunz is an illustrator and graphic designer based in Seattle, Washington and is responsible for these illustrations of Star Wars characters in retro suits. You can easily picture Boba Fett as a Don Draper type, working in an ad agency as he self-destructs. There’s also a Scout Trooper, Stormtrooper, Darth Vader and a Tie Pilot. It creates a vintage world where everyone has a Star wars head and something inside of me loves that concept.
Today superhero films are everywhere. Most films being made are superhero films. That wasn’t always the case. So what if these superhero movies were made in the 1940s or ’50s? That what this series from artist Joe Phillips explores. Clark Gable as Iron Man? Cary Grant as Batman?
