Cosplayers Will Appear on the Covers of Marvel Comics In October

Cosplayers will be showing up on the covers of Marvel comic books this October. It has all come full circle. Cosplayers were inspired by the comic books and now the comic books are getting inspired by them.

Marvel has announced a bunch of covers for its Cosplay Variant program. These books will likely be part of Marvel’s All New, All Different, post-Secret Wars line-up. Check out some of the amazing cosplayers on the covers below. They do a great job of bringing these heroes to life.

R2-D2 Purse: The Fashion Awakens

Star Trek / Guardians Of The Galaxy Cosplay

Wombat-Enginerd and some friends had a fun time cosplaying as the Guardians of the Galaxy in the Star Trek universe. Not sure I agree with Groot having a red shirt though. He seems like a McCoy to me. Damn it Jim, I am Groot!”

Star Wars R2-D2 Skater Dress

Geek girls will need a restraining bolt to keep them from this Star Wars R2-D2 skater dress. This jersey knit frock is designed to look just like your favorite Astromech Droid. The detailing is perfect. People will look at your dress and say, “You R2 cute!”

I’ve seen many R2 shirts and dresses, but this one seems absolutely perfect. I’ll have to get one for my wife. Too bad it won’t play a holographic message.

Check out Holly Brooke looking amazing as DC’s Black Canary. Holly has always been a DC Comics fan so she had to cosplay as Black Canary. While the costume may not be super complicated, she pulls it off perfectly, with tons of style and attitude. Love the blue jacket.

Female Captain America Cosplay

Inwë Elensar Cosplay and Ydren Soph Cosplay look great as Captain America and the Winter Soldier! This cosplay is down and dirty. The fake cuts and blood are a nice touch.

You really feel the battle fatigue, but like a true hero this Captain America just keeps on fighting. Great job all around. If we ever get a female Captain America on screen, I would hope that it is someone like This cosplayer.
