Star Wars Little Golden Books

Almost everyone knows about Little Golden Books from their childhood. These books always had amazing illustrations and the stories were everything from Disney classics to fairy tales. Well, now Star Wars will join the Little Golden Books line so that your kids can experience the Star Wars universe through these iconic books.

In September, Random House will release six books, each adapting one of the Star Wars movies. You can pre-order them from Amazon right now. You and your child will love these.

DC Bombshell Super Sodas

We’ve featured Despop’s art before. It’s always retro and fun. This time around he is having some fun with the Bombshell versions of DC Comic’s Batgirl, Zatanna, Supergirl and Wonder Woman.

These faux retro ‘Super Soda‘ advertisements not only celebrate his work on DC’s Bombshell variant covers. They also make me want to buy these refreshing drinks. You can find his variants this August at your local comic book store. They are stunning, but anyone who knows his work should not be surprised.

Star Wars Meets World War II

This series of World War II Star Wars photos shows what would happen if both worlds collided. Elements from the Star Wars universe are put into photos from World War II and the end results are pretty awesome.

If you love these as much as I do, you can buy the prints from Thirteenth Floor. Our soldiers had it bad enough in that war. Can you imagine if they had to fight the galactic Empire as well?

DC Superheroes Reimagined As Samurai Warriors

Artist Brittney takes Batman, Wonder Woman, Superman, and Robin and puts them in feudal Japan, in a cool samurai style. These images are great and you can check out more on her blog. You are going to love all of her work. I say work, but it is clearly fun.

I just love her style and the colors are so vibrant. These scenes really come to life before your eyes.

Makeup Tutorials That Transform You Into Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy

Makeup artist and body painter Alexys Fleming has released two makeup tutorial videos that will teach you how to transform yourself into some DC Comics vixens. I’m talking about the villainous Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy.

It’s amazing how good she is at painting all of the details and she does it on the first try every time. If I tried to paint myself in the mirror it would look like a horror story. The end results are great, especially Harley Quinn. You can find more cool tutorials on her YouTube channel.

AliaDesign makes some really cool Star Wars quilling art. This style of art always looks amazing and each piece takes some time to create. The end result is well worth it.

The seller has several characters to choose from like: Darth Vader, R2-D2, a Stormtrooper, Yoda, and Boba Fett. Boba Fett looks super cool.

I’m really loving these Star Trek inspired trays and bowls. They have a great retro design that will geek up your kitchen. You can also use the trays to just decorate in your living room too. Or any room.

It’s really too bad that no big companies do stuff like this. It would be so awesome to be able to choose from a whole product line. Thank god we have fans who are creating some really cool things.

Scrap Metal Sci-Fi Sculptures

Thailand based Metalmodelhouse makes some of the coolest metal sculptures around. Everything from Predator and Aliens to Darth Vader and Wall-E. They are pretty durable too since the scrap metal pieces are welded together. I love all of the little details

The seller has a bunch to choose from. I would love to line all of these up on my shelves like action figures. The AT-AT Walker is probably my favorite.
