Recently, ArtStation had a competition with Industrial Light & Magic asking some of the world’s best artists to “imagine key moments, new vehicle designs, character and droid designs, and epic battles within the Star Wars universe”. Well, the winners have been announced, and the art is pretty amazing. Naturally, the best entries came from men and women who work on Hollywood movies and video games. The Bobaskull Project

The Bobaskull Project
Bobaskull is from sculptor Samuel Boulesteix and designer P. Kenyo. They are limited to 194 +5 Artist proofs. Bobaskull comes in 6 Material colors and is now available here. Pretty cool. We’ve seen plenty of Star Wars inspired art and toys, but there’s something about stuff like this that is so fresh and interesting.

Star Wars Star Destroyer Re-Design

Star Wars Star Destroyer Re-Design
Ever wondered what an Imperial Star Destroyer would look like with the design elements of a naval battleship? Check it out right here. It looks pretty badass. It was created by Rasmus Poulsen. It would be scary enough being a smuggler and seeing a Star Destroyer. Seeing this thing? I’d not only drop my cargo, I’d get in it beforehand and then drop my cargo.

Awesome Kawaii Pop Art

Awesome Kawaii Pop Art
This is the cutest thing you will see all day. Artist Truck Torrence’s company 100% Soft makes kawaii pop art and has designed the official Star Wars and Marvel Studios emojis that you’ve seen around. Well, you can see his work in person, until September 17th. He has a solo exhibition happening right now at Gallery 1988 in Los Angeles called “Mass Hysteria 2”. It features all new pop culture works including a 5-foot long Mad Max Fury Road piece that is just beyond adorable! The Star Wars piece is pretty awesome too. Check it out.

Babylon 5 EAS Agamemnon Recreated In LEGO

Babylon 5 EAS Agamemnon Recreated In LEGO
This is a special treat for Babylon 5 fans. Ryan Olsen’s latest build is none other than the EAS Agamemnon. She was one of the first Omega class starships to be built by Earthforce following the Earth-Minbari War and she is a real beauty of a ship. She’s pretty spectacular in LEGO form as well. She is 116 studs long, with plenty of great detail. You can check out more shots on his Flickr page.
