This Justice League Trailer Spoof has some interesting things to say about the superhero team. For one thing, those Wonder Woman entrances can be deadly to the wrong people. And where’s Batman? Did he throw in the cowl and call it quits? ArtSpear Entertainment does a fantastic job on this Justice League parody.
Modern superheroes get the classic art treatment in this art series titled Heroes Of Stone. If the sculptors of old lived alongside of these heroes, this is the art they would produce. Forget Julius Caesar. I like how they can sit next to other classic busts and fit right in. The details are really great and it makes you look at these heroes in a new way.
The Truth is out there. This adorable 40-page hardcover book is full of full-color illustrations that feature pint-sized versions of Fox Mulder and Dana Scully. Your kids are going to love The X-Files: Earth Children are Weird. Isn’t it about time they discovered Mulder and Scully? No worries, it’s not nearly as scary as grown up X-Files cases.
This series from Gabriel Ferraz is titled Rick and Morty and Marvel. Naturally it mashes up Rick and Morty with Marvel characters. This is the kind of series I love because it’s so creative and interesting to see how the artist mashes characters together. Here we have Morty as Cyclops, Mr. Meeseeks as Yondu, Rick as Mr.Fantastic and Summer as Scarlet Witch.
The Art and Soul of Blade Runner 2049 Hardcover Art Book is a beautiful oversized book that includes concept art, storyboards, behind the scenes photography, and production stills with commentary from the cast and crew. It will help you to gain insight into old and new characters, new locations and environments, and the technology from the movie. This is going right on the coffee table so I can look at it often. The deluxe edition includes a fabric-covered slipcase and an 11 inch by 14 inch lithograph with glow-in-the-dark elements. Very nice.
Porgs. Love them or hate them, they are a part of the Star Wars universe now, just like Jar Jar Binks. Now you can listen to these tiny creatures sing the Star Wars theme. Be warned, you can’t unhear this.
