Illustrator and cartoonist Ed Harrington has a great sense of humor. He created a funny and clever collection of IKEA assembly instructions that don’t make cabinets, but instead tell you how to make classic movie monsters like a Xenomorph from the Alien movies, Pinhead from Hellraiser and more.

The Empire wants you to join the fight and crush the rebel resistance. So naturally they are using propaganda to recruit new soldiers. These posters come from the beautiful Star Wars: Imperial Handbook Deluxe Edition, which is on sale now.

These charming and whimsical Doctor Who GIFs from all 12 Doctors(Sorry once again War Doctor, but you have been left out) come from Beijing, China based artist Mengying Wang.
They are simple and adorable. Scrolling through them all is almost like seeing these versions have mini existences and watching them regenerate one after the other. On a side note, please give love to the War Doctor people! He is every bit as important as the others.
This is a fun series of fan art that features several sci-fi and horror movie characters re-imagined as manga characters. These iconic characters are all cute and adorable, but can still lay the smack down if they need to. These fine illustrations were done by Matsuda Yuusuke.
I would love to see a cartoon series based on these. Especially the Robocop one. Also featured are Terminator, Alien, Predator, Pinhead, and Hellboy. On a side note, I don’t think I have ever seen the Terminator portrayed with boobs before.
This series by Scott Erickson is titled Alliance Is Rebellion. Characters and vehicles from Star Wars are imagined as traditional Northwest Coast Indian art. They combine old traditions with new mythologies in a striking way.

The Art of Alien: Isolation is a lovely coffee-table book published by Titan Books, featuring more than 300 concept images, illustrations and sketches designed for the insanely popular SEGA videogame. To set the stage, Isolation takes place in the year 2137, 15 years after the events of Ridley Scott’s original Alien.
This book is 176-pages of amazing work from dozens of outstanding artists, painters and illustrators. It is the perfect companion to the game. There’s no doubt that you can get lost for hours in this book.
Etsy seller FayProductions makes all kinds of prints that imitate the look of stained glass. They are pretty striking and look just like the real thing. Just put them on your windows and you have some instant stained glass fit for a geek church or comic book temple.

This video clip will make you believe that the Martians invaded during WWI. It is that good. Of course we all know that that never happened. Last year the History channel aired a mockumentary about the “Great Martian War” of 1913-1917. The videos of the battles are the best part, which places War of the Worlds type aliens in real footage from World War I.

Nick Stember has translated a 142 page Chinese comic book adaptation of Star Wars that was originally published in Guangdong, China, in the 1980s. It’s crazy stuff. It’s best just to take a look for yourself. It seems to have been made without viewing Return of the Jedi, since there are elements of the other movies and none from Jedi.
Below are just some of the panels. You can hit up Nick’s website for the rest. This is a strange rabbit hole to fall into, but you can easily lose a lot of time looking through all of the images and translations.

These designs work really well. I can easily buy that these are NFL teams in a galaxy far, far away. Great stuff Steven. Not enough use of Ewoks in my opinion, but awesome stuff anyway.
