Jurassic World Limited Edition Blu-Ray Gift Set

Jurassic World just hit theaters recently, but we already have some news about the movie’s Blu-ray and DVD releases. The most expensive disc bundle has Tyrannosaurus Rex and Indominus Rex statues. Obviously, this is the right choice. New toys are always welcomed.

Spaghetti Western Star Wars Art Prints

I love Sergio Leone’s Spaghetti Westerns. There has never been a movie maker like him since and no one has quite been able to capture westerns in the same way. The man was a genius. Imagine if the Star Wars trilogy had been made by Sergio Leone. This is what the movie posters would look like.

Artist Cassie Graus is all about cute cuddly cats. She knows that your favorite movies and television shows are way better with cats included. Everything is better with cats. What would the internet be without them?

She created some posters that show the characters of Game of Thrones, Mad Max: Fury Road, Parks and Recreation, and Broad City as cats. Yep, cats make everything better.

Star Trek: Behind The Scenes Photos Of The U.S.S. Pasteur

You are going to love this collection of behind the scenes photos of the U.S.S. Pasteur. The photos were originally taken by Greg George. Greg designed and built the miniature on his own, before offering it up for use in the final episode of The Next Generation. Now that is dedication. You can see the quality of his work for yourself. There was never a doubt that they would use it.

There are some shots of the blueprints as well as some work in progress shots. She is a lovely ship despite that round front. The original name for the ship was the U.S.S. Olympic, but it was eventually renamed since it was used as a medical vessel.

Fantasy Movie Posters

Artist Sean Hartter reimagines classic science fiction films and casts them in an alternate universe, creating some amazing and memorable tributes to midcentury B movie graphics. It’s a great big “What if”. I can definitely see these as movie posters from a parallel dimension.

“I’m a total sci-fi geek,” Hartter says. “These posters are based on the idea that they’re from multiple universes, which frees me up to tinker with time frames and poster design.”

That X-Men poster is especially awesome.

Makeup Transforms People Into Comic Book Characters

Cosplaying as your favorite comic book character is one thing, but it is something else entirely to become them in every detail. Canadian makeup artist Lianne Moseley knows how to transform anyone into a superhero. Dressing up can only get you so far. Changing your face is the next level.

Lianne doesn’t even need the costumes. The artist uses a variety of face paints to make it look as if her models are wearing costumes. She is bringing comic books to life. Check out her Instagram page for more.

Predator Dark Horse Comic Book 8-Inch Action Figure

I can’t think of a better way to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the first Predator comic book than by buying this Predator Dark Horse Comic Book 8-Inch Action Figure! I’m biased though, because I love all things Predator. This 8-inch tall figure recreates the Predator’s appearance on the cover of the first issue and they hit all of the details perfectly, right down to the comic book colors and shading!

It also features some really nice articulation and a new ceremonial staff accessory. The deluxe window box packaging has original comic book art too and it comes with a special bonus mini-comic reprint of Predator #1!

Mad Max: Fury Road Concept Art

We can’t get enough Mad Max right now. We may have a long wait until the next movie, so in the meantime, check out this collection of amazing concept art created for the movie by artist Peter Pound. When you aren’t going back and watching all of the movies anyway.

You can see right away that this art is from early on in the process. A lot changed by the time the movie was released. It’s fascinating to see what they were thinking so early on. Some of the stuff is frastically different, while other things were only altered slightly. You can check out more on his site.
