Sometimes you have to just go big or go home. Artist and graphic novelist Martin Panchaud has created a 157-page illustrated infographic that details the ships, scenes, and lines from Star Wars: A New Hope in detail. It is big! He created it in 2016, and it measures 400 feet long. It is a huge and simple representation of the film that started it all.

It has changed quite a bit for these heroes.
This is a cool piece of Star wars history that most of us have never seen before. This teaser was recently acquired by the Academy Film Archive. It may in fact be the very first teaser trailer for George Lucas’ third film in the saga, Return of The Jedi. Of course back then it started off titled Revenge of The Jedi. Then Lucas changed his mind as he is apt to do.
The Academy says that this brief teaser was only attached to a brief theatrical run of a double feature of the first two Star Wars movies in the U.K. It debuted so early that it still has “Revenge” as part of the title, and it promised a Christmas 1983 release. The movie actually came out much earlier. This is a great piece of cinema history. They obviously cobbled it together very quickly. Most of it is simply stills from the film. It is great to see what those people in that UK theater would have seen. Can you imagine how excited they must have been for this film?

This work in progress from artist Abram Baclagon is a collection of Super Heroes designed as labels for bathrooms. You might be asking why? well, aside from being fun, he thought it might be a fun alternative for private kids parties or kid-themed restaurants. Sounds good to me. In fact, I say we use these everywhere. He has separated each hero by team, arranging them according to their first appearance in the group. Their costumes are based on what they were wearing that same first appearance. Even the character’s height is accurate.
He put a ton of work into this project. How awesome would it be to see these on bathroom doors? Heck, Marvel and DC should at least be using these in their offices.

Enjoy this simply stunning The Killing Joke Poster by Diego Riselli. It is a vector illustration based on the classic Batman story. What I find so interesting about this poster is how Diego managed to capture the Joker’s insanity, (I think we all know what goes down in that story) and also managed to give it a fun retro Animated Series vibe. I love it.

This was created for Hero Complex Galaxy’s recent Cardistry show, where a bunch of artists gave their own artistic interpretations on unique playing cards. 20th Century Fox has released an awesome new trailer for Roland Emmerich’s Independence Day: Resurgence. This extended trailer is almost 5 minutes long! It has all kinds of new footage and this movie certainly looks like a fun action flick. It has been 20 years since we bested the aliens. In that time, humanity has been preparing for round 2, but so have the aliens. One thing is for sure, the Earth is going to take a beating.
