Avengers, Owl-semble! Earth’s mightiest heroes only come out at night and each and every one looks adorable. These are from artist 4steex. The series depicts Marvel characters as owls. I have no idea why this exists, but I am glad that it does. Does this mean we can look for a sequel called “The Age of Hoot-tron”?

Mezco Toyz are really doing some awesome things with their One:12 Collective releases. I just love every release in this series. The Superman: Collective action figure comes with two heads (one standard and one with heat vision), three pairs of hands, two poseable chains, magnetic ricocheting bullet effects, the Bottled City of Kandor and a kryptonite fragment. Oh man, how could you not add this one to the collection? Mezco is really stepping up their game here.

I think you will agree that Aquaman has never looked so good. This is Virginia-based cosplayer Laney Jade and photographer Hero Hotties, making Aquaman amazing again. I totally buy that she is protector of the sea and the ruler of Atlantis. This is absolutely beautiful.
For those of you who are older, you’ll remember this, but this will be new to many younger folks. This is a video of the time that Paul Williams appeared on the February 9, 1973 episode of The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson to sing “Here’s That Rainy Day” while wearing his full orangutan makeup from filming Battle for the Planet of the Apes. Williams played Virgil in the film. So now you get to see an ape sing.

How about Woody Allen and Dr. Manhattan? I like the way his mind works. This series is fun and some of them really make you chuckle.
Game of Thrones and Star Wars are two very different properties, which is probably why we don’t see very many mashups that involve both. But artist Andrew Dat Tran has created some spectacular pieces that work really well. This series imagines Game of Thrones characters dressed in Star Wars attire. There’s Tyrion as Han, Arya as a Jedi Padawan, the Night King as a Sith Lord, and others. I love the style of this series and the dark tone.
Hot Wheels are on fire right now. They are coming out with some really unique toys all of the sudden, like that 1964 Buick Riviera with Spock leaning on the hood. This set may just be Hot Wheels’ coolest Star wars car set yet. Hot Wheels has revealed a new Death Star trench run set that features some amazing four-wheeled versions of TIE Fighters chasing an X-Wing.
The packaging even features lights and sound effects, along with three short sections of Hot Wheels track to expand your racetrack. This set will exclusively be available at the Mattel booth at SDCC if you’re attending. You can also pre-order it from MattyCollector. I wonder what else the company will unveil.
